A Heartfelt Thank You to the Lindaben Foundation ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our nonprofit organization was recently contacted with an urgent request to support an important program initiated by the PG County Council. Their goal was to assist furloughed government employees who were struggling to meet essential household needs due to the shutdown. We had prepared 55 care packages, but we were still short of 25 packages to fully support all 80 employees counting on us. I personally reached out to more than 20 agencies—including the Maryland Food Bank, the Capital Area Food Bank, the Anne Arundel Food Bank, and several others. Unfortunately, each one shared that they were facing shortages and could not assist us at that time. We were deeply concerned, knowing that real people with real needs were depending on this support. Then I came across a food giveaway hosted by the Lindaben Foundation. I called and spoke with Anna, explained the situation, and hoped for the best. Within ten minutes—ten minutes!—Anna reached back out after connecting with her team and told us they would provide exactly what we needed to complete the remaining packages. Their “yes” felt like a miracle in that moment. I immediately drove to their Beltsville location, where I met Jeannette, who welcomed me with warmth, kindness, and a genuine desire to help. She and the entire Lindaben Foundation team made the experience not only smooth but truly uplifting. What they provided allowed us to deliver complete packages to all 80 furloughed employees—employees who shared with us, some through tears, how desperately they needed groceries and basic household essentials because they had gone without pay for weeks. The Lindaben Foundation didn’t just give items… they restored hope. Anna, Jeannette, and the entire Lindaben Foundation team — THANK YOU for saying “YES” when so many others could not. You were a blessing to our organization, and even more so to the county employees who received your generosity. You showed compassion at a moment when people felt overlooked and forgotten. You were truly a ray of sunshine during a very heavy time. Our prayer is that everything your foundation needs — and so much more — will continue to flow your way. I recently moved in to MD. I needed many things for my baby. I asked them help and they got me everything more than i needed actually. The food line was discouraging but once the distribution started, I received my 2 boxes within 15 minutes! Very organized, efficient and on time!

First time ever going to a food bank—no thanks to the government shutdown! LindaBen Foundation made a special arrangement to support furloughed federal workers with their food assistance program. The food distribution was well organized and preserved the dignity of beneficiaries. It’s clear that the foundation genuinely cares about the people they serve and understands the challenges furloughed workers and vulnerable households face.
